If you’re anything like me then you can relate as to why old photos always creeped me out. They never smiled. I’ve always been curious why people commonly looked miserable in their photos. After further digging I found some interesting information why those frowns never turned upside down. The good news is that they weren’t generally unhappy people. In fact their attitudes and openness to humor wasn’t much different from ours today. Lack of technology played a big part in the reasoning.
